US Passport expires March 26, 2016 and leaving for Cozumel 11/28/15

Every country I have ever visited has the six month rule, so it comes as no surprise that Mexico has it as well. Generally you will not even be allowed on the plane as the person checking you on checks.

We made it without renewing the passport. Before leaving, we contacted Delta and they advised no problemo, so here we are. For December, the conditions are fantastic!

I'm reading that Mexico requires that your passport be valid for 6 months beyond your visit. Is there a way around this? Any hints or tips?
