This winter there were about three days of snow here in Vienna. Three days far apart from one another. I didn't even need my ski jacket. I did every winter before that. This winter's never been milder.

Here in the states the cold is breaking records(april). What an easter some have had with crazy amounts of snow

I guess global warming is changing the global distribution of precipitation.

Who died and made you moderator? It is neither politics or propaganda it is a first hand report. Sorry if the truth does not agree with your liberal views.

unfortunately, my liberal views understand the difference between climate and weather.

Um, this shouldn't be a liberal vs. conservative "view". It should first be a scientific issue, and only then a politucal one. Too few who comment have NO scientific background or understanding of the relevant issues. Watching "Gore's" movie does not qualify you with much of any scientific evidence. Is it really too much to ask for people to read science papers before forming such strong opinions on such a potentially important issue?

Rainer:
Yeah, I try to read the other posts in a thread. Did you read what I linked to? Thoughts? I'm pretty sure this author has read anything you've read, so that's also something to consider. You know, being a leading researcher in the field and all...

my "leading researchers" in the field disagree with your "leading researcher".

also, if you notice the quoted content in the post i linked to it, it is the text of that Newsweek article you cited. not only have i read it before, i've gone through it point-by-point.

Where did I EVER say this was "my researcher"? LOL. The point is, it's these researchers who should be having the debate (which of course they are), and not those on the internet who have never seen the data. This is NOT directed at you (you seem rather well read for a non-specialist), but at the VAST majority of those who hold an opinion without the slightest bit of scientific reason for doing so.
