Hi,

I thought it would be neat to see what kinds of great and whacky ideas people can come up with (or things they do) to keep themselves entertained while they're sitting on the deco line.

I'll start the ball rolling with a few ideas:

1) Underwater cards

2) Underwater chess / backgammon / checkers. (Would want magnetic pieces though!)

3) Play catch with something like toypedo (Swimways - Swimways - Toypedo)

Any other ideas???

There is underwater pumpkin carving here around October time. There's also underwater trash cleanup days, hopefully for most of us that's every dive though :)

I like to do some of the aerobatic maneuvers I learned years ago. Loops, rolls, split s's, etc. Actually, a decent barrel roll is harder than I thought it would be!

I do a fair imitation of a singing Humpback Whale, too, but my blowhole placement isn't quite right.;)

How could I resist? If you can't see sharks on your dive, bring some to play with!

Happy diving!

Aah - forgot to add my underwater MP3 player. Hmm - wonder if they have underwater movie players.

Why don't the dive boats provide underwater lap dancers ?

That can be arranged down here. ;)

I usually play tic-tac-toe, hang man, or connect the dots. :D

ZEN Vision W - The power of ZEN. The style of ZEN. My buddy just bought one. You can record tv shows to it, MP3's, use software to rip and transfer a DVD straight from the disc to this thing, and watch DVD quality video on it. I'm seriously tempted to design and machine a wrist housing for it:D

Don't forget the best time passer, screwing with your buddy, unlatching his dry suit zipper, knocking his mask loose (careful who you do that to, make sure they can deal with that) etc. I've even tried poking a hole in my friends dry suit (just make sure you don't penetrate deeper than the suit tho :) )
