I'm predicting a new strain about mid-summer than reduced vaccine effectiveness by 50% restarting the fear machine the media just loves. Based on nothing but my own observations.

I watched mainstream news last night I got a lot of fear porn about the new super deadly variants
The other night was how a 19 year old cleaner in a LTC home died of COVID*

*Turns out he was a troubled youth with addiction issues and probably died of either suicide or drug overdose.

The primary reason why the pandemic is so bad (with all the associated human and economic wreckage it has caused) is because people have not, and continue to not, take it seriously. I try to hold my tongue when I see unmasked shoppers in stores. Usually I glare, but sometimes I get verbal.

As far as the media is concerned, what they feature is a reflection of what their audience wants to see and hear. Ratings rule. They are damned if they do and damned if they don't; if they cover it they are being sensationalist and if they don't they are engaging in a coverup.

As a side note, push ups do work, learned that in Army. Whenever we were going to deploy we had to get shots, everyone would be doing pushups after the shots.
Also, I get my first shot tomorrow.
