I'm trying to talk myself into booking an August visit before the fares go up again, but it's challenging.

Well, yes, but last year a lot of people were thinking (hoping) it would just go away on its own; we now know that that's not going to happen. The original plan of postponing the 2020 baseball season by two weeks seems laughable in retrospect.We can hope but many were saying the same thing last April. When we first started locking down - 14 days to flatten the curve, rah rah rah - many were saying by mid-summer (2020) things should be better but it might be late summer.

Things are different now, not that there are any guarantees, but there are some different variables in play. I booked a trip in May, hoping for the best, but I am prepared to cancel or reschedule it if things aren't enough better for me to feel comfortable going.
