After returning from a trip, I noticed my trusty U.S. Divers Octo had a broken part on the side of the reg. My favorite LDS says there are two parts involved, a hex type nut and retaining tab (keeps the cover from spinning off). Reportedly they are no longer available.

Was wondering if anyone on ScubaBoard might know of an alternate source or has a NOS parts available?

Attached are pics of the octo and broken nut/missing tab.

Thanks to all in advance.

You might find a shop with the two plastic parts.
Most likely not.
You have two other options.....
leave it as is as the broken plastic is sealing the hole.
or better
Replace the broken plastic plug with a 1/2" port plug (it's a perfect fit).

.....you wont have the locking key but that doesn't matter as 2nd stages have survived for many decades without them.

The port plug will work nicely. I made a few out of delrin for my USD regs.

I am almost 100% sure I have both pieces in stock. Email me on Monday to remind me when I am back int he shop. My email is tanktest@gmail.com

cost for each should be pretty inexpensive, couple bucks or so plus shipping.
