Hello scoobies of venice!
We are visiting the area for a birthday end of September and wanting to do a dive. Preliminary google searches only suggest charters and some 15-20ft deep shark tooth diving.
I was hoping someone could share some popular locations OTHER than shallow shark teeth? Somewhere deeper with wildlife?

Thank you all!

See if Aristakat charters might run out to the army tanks.

Are there really no somewhat deep shore dives in venice/nokomis?
Somewhat deep and shore don't go together for much of the Florida West Coast. The slope is pretty shallow, so you've got to get a good distance offshore before you get to divable depths. I dive just a bit north of that area and regularly run at least 10 miles offshore. That's just to get into 50-60' depth. Marine charts for the Venice area show it's pretty much the same.

Shore diving isn't really a thing here. Definitely not deeper shore diving.
