Last fall I completed both PADI OW certification and PADI Equipment Specialist certification. Each course was taken from a different LDS. Looking at my c-cards, I actually have two different diver #s. Anybody know if that's that OK? Is that normal?

It's normal for PADI, they will only stick to one number for Dive Masters and higher.

To the best of my knowledge, every C-card you get will have a different diver # on it. As long as your name and birthdate are the same (exactly), all of those certs should be under your profile with PADI. You can also set up an online profile on PADI's website. Once you do, you will be able to see all of your existing certs. If any don't show up, you can contact PADI to find out why, and they will correct it for you. My wife had one cert not show up on hers. It turned out it was because the instructor misspelled her last name on an online application. Problem was resolved in a matter of days. Enjoy!

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm new to SB, but I think it's absolutely FABULOUS!

I've just setup my profile and both cards show up, so I'm set.

Thanks!

No problem! Happy diving, and keep learning! :)

You might want to print out all the info after you get it set up. one of my dive buddies lost his Rescue diver card (he took from PADI) and when he went to get a replacement, padi couldn't find his records. so he has no proof he took the class now.

They also had my records in all seperate under different spellings of my name.
It was easily fixed though by contacting them. However at first it didn't appear
they had all my records either since we looked mine up as part of seeing how mine
were listed in compared to my buddy looking for his rescue certs.

All PADI cards will have a different diver number until you reach Divemaster. At the Divemaster level PADI assigns a PADI professional member number that is permanent.

Printing the list may not help, since the web site specifically states that the list online does not constitute proof of certification.

On the other hand, I doubt once you have your online profile set up and verify your certs there that the information would become lost later...barring, of course, some catastrophic failure of the servers on PADI's side...
