I am searching for objective opinions regarding the following bcds:

Tusa Platina Evolution 3800 & 5500 Series
Cressi-Sub S111
SeaQuest Pro QD +

I have used the the SeaQuest Pro QD +(Nice Jacket), but can only find the Tusa Platina Evolution 3800 & 5500 and the Cressi-sub S111 on-line, as local dealers are out-of-stock.

Does anyone have experience with the Cressi S111 or Tusa 3800/5500 series bcds?

I am a new diver too. I would like to hear something about the tusa plantina 3800 if anyone has, or recommends a bc for under 300 dollars.

thanks

Tusa makes a decent product but it's no SQ. My wife dives a Tusa and likes it but the quality is no where near that of my SQ...but it was not near as expensive either. In this case they are equal in cost.

LP sells the

SQ QD Pro+ - $374
Cressi S11 - $309
Tusa Plantina - $399

IMO there is no real decision here. Clearly SQ. I should back up......I have not seen Cressi's stuff for several years so I should not lump them with Tusa. If you like the SQ then buy it.

IMO.......

SeaQuest Pro is under $300 at LP

I dive with a SeaQuest Pro QD+ SL and love it.

Good fit, no constriction when inflated, lots of lift on the surface and, contrary to what I have heard a few times - able to take enough weight to dive with a drysuit and undersuit.
