I have been really happy with my TUSA IQ 700 - until the last trip I did on a liveaboard in the Maldives. On day two, it started behaving strangely. I was into the 5th minute of my dive, was at around 20 Metres and ascended about 3 metres to avoid a coral outcrop. the computer beeped at me with a "slow" warning, suggesting that I had ascended too fast. It then seemed to get stuck there and continued to beep throughout the dive. the display started blinking alternate displays, showing what looked like the correct depth in one display and a much shallower depth (5 metres, if memory serves me right) in the second display. This continued on the surface. I reset the computer and tried it again on a second dive, with identical results. the moment I ascended by more than a few metres, the same set of circumstances repeated themselves.
My question is, has anyone had the same problem and have they been able to get this rectified by TUSA? I intend to send my computer back shortly but was curious to find out if this had been experienced by anyone else.
