This is basic gas planning material, taught at OWD-level in, I believe, all remotely progressive dive agencies.
 
They are called Distinctive Specialties. They are created by individual instructors and approved by PADI. There must be thousands of them around the world today.

They taught me that, too. It's no good.
One of many reasons I sought training elsewhere.

Ok I'm confused, didn't you just say all this halves and thirds rules was "basic" and taught in the OWD?

There is a difference between "PADI OWD" and "OWD" :)
