I just fired up my analyzer to check the battery level and then shut it off so I could go grab a tank to calibrate it. But as I was leaving the room I heard my analyzer make the power up beep and away went the "Geiger counter" noise. I walked over and looked at it and sure enough it was on. So i turned it off again and as I was down the hall it did it again. This time I powered it down again and stayed with it and sure enough it self turned on again. I tried several time to turn it off, even reset it to factory setting. Still can not get it to turn off.

Has anyone else had this issue? If so how did you fix it.

Your house is haunted. Probably a diver in a past life. Maybe died from not analyzing tanks properly and determined to never make that mistake again.

This happened to me. DiveSoft fixed the button under warranty. I believe it is is a known / occasional issue. Mine would not shut off and would randomly turn on.

The buttons are crap. Mine has the opposite problem: it frequently turns off when I hit OK. If they'll fix it under warranty, I'd definitely go that route.

Just an update. Travis from Divesoft just messaged me the following:

"I am sorry for the trouble but I know well what the cause is. Please send it to the address in my signature below (if you are in the US) with a copy of page 2 from the attached document. The fix is straight forward but invasive, the keyboard must be replaced and I replace the battery at the same time. We’ll also update the firmare and do a wellness check w/ calibration. Return shipping from us is included."

Seems to be a common problem with the Solo. I have spoken to a couple other friend and they have all heard about button issues with the Solo as well. Seems to me that with this many issue they should have just done a recall.

I think it's somewhat common but not everyone has the issue. Maybe they had a bad run of keyboards or perhaps higher usage / getting it wet? I don't know if a full recall is necessary but I truly don't have an actual numbers to back that up.

To add a little data. My solo analyzer (Serial SN 240) is from August 2019. We bought it in a batch of 8 as an opening order with DiveSoft. As far as I know I'm the only one that encountered that issue from the original order. I do know it's happened to other people but I don't know the year of manufacturer or if there is a serial number range.

My analyzer lives a hard live bouncing around in my pickup truck or on a boat in salt water half the year.

If I recall, the keyboard repair was free and done under warranty but I paid extra for replacement battery since mine was ~5 years old.

Mine just had this issue. Travis got it fixed super quick (replace keypad and battery plus full "service"- firmware update, inspection, calibration. Well past warranty, I'd call it Shearwater level service.
