# of dives
500 - 999
stayed on the explorer venture's vessel.
due to dean we stayed tied to the dock until monday afternoon.
once out we dove untill friday afternoon.

we dove the sites of west caicos and nw point.
only 13 guest, so we recieved an upgrated room.
meals were very good.

dive breifs were detailed and a guide was provided for those wanting one.
everyone dove on computer.
every dive a roll call was taken with depth and air recorded.

imo the reefs were abundant with a wide variety hard and soft corals
only 2 dives we did not see reef sharks over 6 ft long.
also saw turtles, lobster and large green moreys.

the crew was very pleasant and most efficient.
the rooms were kept tidy and very clean.
the captain was very responsible and kept a good eye on dean and her winds.

i would do this trip again.
regards,

robint,
the boat layout was a little different than past trips.
the dive gear deck, main salon, eating area, galley and most of the cabins were all at the same elevation, which means no steps to navigate while going from one to the other.

there were a few cabins with port holes and crews quarters on the same deck with the engines.
there are 2 state rooms, sundeck and bridge on the upper deck.
above that was the flying bridge with shaded area and wet bar.

i still live in a cave and shoot 35mm.
another diver is putting a cd together and i will gain his permission to show you.

a week of diving with this crew on that boat is very much worth the $.
regards,

Thanks for the report. I'll be on a trip with them next April. We were on their Saba boat this spring and were very pleased.

We were at T&C on Exp Ventures last Oct and had a great time. I was very concerned about what would happen in the event of a hurricane. We are going to Saba in Oct on the Carribean Explorer II. Glad to hear you had a great time.

ntsilver,
you will enjoy your trip in oct.
one advantage of that charter is that you dive 3 islands with the option for a short tour on each one.
my wife who does not dive, went with me and we toured the islands.

hey smokey
nice to see you still travelling the world and bubbling the waters. thanks for the email and hopefully we'll dive together again some day.

All the best
Sara (Cayman Islands, Maldives)
