Next week we are leaving rainy Amsterdam for twee weeks Tulum and Xcalak! Does anybody knows what kind of species we can expact under the water? Hamerheads, Dolphins, Sharks, Manta

They are (off course) my favorites and I'm just curious what we can expact!

I will be in Akumal in 3 weeks for my 3rd year in a row. I've never been in the ocean, only the caves. So....keeping it short, make sure you get a cenote dive in while you are there....you'll enjoy it.

Firstly, Welcome to the board.
Just returned yesterday. I dove both caves and salt water. Don't miss the Cenotes.
This time of year, Mantas and Whale Sharks are possible.
Just be at the right time and place.
Enjoy and dive safe.

But that area you can expect to see a lot of turtles and rays. Whale sharks are hit and miss. I believe it is the wrong time of year now for them.
