Trip to the Black Thorne

Wow that is an interesting story. I can't believe you haven't dove her yet. She is located right next to the Sheridan and another wreck in the area.

Now I hadn't heard of a name for that, good stuff to know. It is really good (pun not intended). We actually had no clue what we were diving when we did it but I sure liked it.

Gulf coast diver i was sent to you by missdirected..They said you dive tug orange and the tanks..I am new here and would just like to say hey.. I think i have seen you at the tanks once..I could of swarn we used you anchor to get down..You werent there.. But somebody on the bout once..Greeeetttings to yoouuu..

we are going back to the tanks on tuesday just to get wet, that's also my favorite place to
to hunt for anchors.

Yeah i like to go free diving there..and illd ive it occasionally..Were going to daytona beach tuesday to do some diving..Its sopost to be killer...I saw a huge anchor at the tug..Its right byit..Would of took it but it was huge..Where do u dock your boat..Whats your favorite dive site?

I keep the boat at my house on a trailer and my favorite dive, is the dive I'm on at the time.

Clever...I like that line..Ha ha..How many anchors have u ever pulled up at the tanks..Its funny..I have been there 5 times now and have seen no anchor..Even the barge that is just due north of there..

One of those anchors is mine. I went out there one time on my boat in 3-5 ft. seas and anchored up. We called the dive due to everyone getting sick from the rough water. I went to pull the anchor and couldn't get it up. Now I should have jumped in and got it but instead like a total dumb ***** i just cut the line. I'm still kicking myself for it. It was a good anchor. About a 20lb. navy style. It held the boat well. A little too well.

I have found 13 total, and 6 on one dive at the tanks but, I (with help from my buddies) could only retrieve 4 that day.

I'm gonna try to run my boat back out there in the next month or so. Maybe I will get lucky and find a replacement for the one I lost.
