So, why not GUE's Tech 1 next? Yes, you'd have to reach the Fundies tech pass level with GUE, which at least for untalented me, took a very long time, during which I very nearly gave up in frustration and considered a non-GUE path.

But I think we're getting ahead of ourselves. @Tigerpaw , best of luck with Fundies! Let us know how it went. People used to write up course reports: DIR Class Reports - A Consolidated Inventory?

Back, knees and shoulders are the 3 immediate reasons why I'm not going for Tech 1. :) I've seen the backmount setup and have talked to divers with the same joint issues I have and I'm told doubles wears you down fast. The goal is to dive as long as possible. LOL However Sidemount is a viable alternative and it's not as much a big strain so I earned my Sidemount rating instead.

This past week I was practicing with GUE divers and I was observing them do valve drills. I had a single but I decided to mimic their movements to get a feel for it. When I reached back my shoulder had other ideals and I was sore afterwards. So at this point I am good with just sidemount and eventually ANDP.

I will keep you all updated!
