I'll be heading to the USVI soon. Will I have trouble packing a set of EMT shears in my checked luggage?
 
Not in your checked baggage...well...you shouldn't have any trouble anyway.

If you try to carry them on though, you're asking for trouble.
 
Nope. I've traveled half a dozen times (in & out of USA) since 9-11 and never had a problem with shears in checked luggage. I would not however try to pack them in a carry on.
