No quarantine required !!!
This is from the PM and not any minister/vice mayor seeking publicity!
Who need to be quarantined on a stupid boat!!!!! LOL.

Until now (12 October): quarantine will be 5 days. Foreigners from 18 countries allowed entry. List not published yet. Nothing clear yet about visa and no official letter published yet.

A lot of noises from various officials but nothing materialized so far!!!
The minister of health first said 70% vaccination.
The vice mayor of Bali suggesting four named countries will have priority(27th Sep)
Then the minister of Maritime Affairs and Investment gave complete different names of the countries in his plan(04th Oct). One week later it is 18 countries but only few names were given!

Is this normal practice in Indonesia?

Tomorrow is 14th Oct the opening day of Bali!!!!!

Another version of the countries involved:
china, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea and UAE.

Same five countries are named.
5 days instead of 8 days of quarantine is required.

However:
Those 5 countries are NOT big spender!!!!

now, 19 countries are allowed to direct travel to Bali.
The list of 19 countries is Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, New Zealand, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, China, India, Japan, South Korea, Liechtenstein, Italy, France, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Poland, Hungary and Norway.

Other countries (including those outside the list of 19 countries above) can still enter Indonesia through the international Jakarta or Manado, provided that they follow the quarantine and testing provisions that have been determined.

Any news about tourist visa / visa on arrival?? My understanding is that those have been suspended and only visitors with "special" visas (business, social etc) are allowed in the country. Have this changed?

This is absolutely important to any potential tourists.
Direct entry to Bali is only secondary because Jakarta is always an option especially quarantine is required.

Doubts over demand on eve of Indonesia's Bali reopening

It is 19 countries and interestingly one of the biggest spender, Germany, is not on the list. I bet Australia will be added in Nov when Aussie are allowed to travel again.

Any official announcement on the WHOLE plan ie. visa, number of days for quarantine. Not a lot to ask!!!!

The list should be increased to 20 because there is one DIRECT flight to Dili in Timor-Leste!!!!! And that is the only DIRECT international flight on 14th Oct.
Timor-Leste(previously known as East Timor) is an independent country since 2002.
