Indonesian government is planning on opening direct flights to Bali and so already has a list of approved quarantine hotels on the island. Seems they want people to stay in places like the Hyatt Hotels and other resorts.
It's all about the money for Indonesia. They do not have the pandemic under control.

Planning to open if vaccination reaches 70%.
Direct flight to Bali is nothing new.
Any list on anything has no meaning if the target 70% cannot be reached.

It was my understanding that access to Indonesia would be through Jakarta, what's Singapore got to do with it?
LOL
I do not have a clue because I did not write that rubbish in the beginning.

E.g. as there are no flights from Germany to Indonesia Singapore was one of the more convenient travel routes as there where plenty of flights with SQ or LH pre pandemic.

Interestingly the person who made the original statement on transiting in Singapore is from Taiwan.
"Seacaigh" is from UAE which has direct flight to Bali(at least pre-covid)
It is all depend on where you are travelling from.
BKK is another option instead of SIN for those from Germany.

We'll be traveling to Indonesia mid of next month. No ticket in my hands though, will wait the situations until early next month and decide the destination.
As of today, only Jakarta and Manado airport are open for international flight. I heard. Bali will open in 1 - 2 weeks if they can maintain or improve the status.
The requirement for 8 days quarantine still there. Hope they will reduce to be more realistic for travelers who has fully completed the vaccination(s).
If not, hopefully Bali airport is open and the resort type hotel with courtyard villa is included on the list of hotels for quarantine. I don't like to stay in the room for 8 days.
let see

I do hope you make it and please do not forget to write a detail report of the "adventure".
8 days of quarantine is barely the minimum giving the long incubation period of this horrible virus.

Palau include liveaboards as the approved “hotels” for their 5 days of quarantine including PCR test at the time of entry to Palau and every 5 days of stay in the country. I’ll be there in December for 2 weeks (2 back-to-back liveaboard trips). So, besides being fully vaccinated at least 14 days before departure and PCR tested within 3 days of departure date, I’ll be PCR tested again about 4 times while in Palau, plus 1 antigen / PCR tested before flying back to home. Indonesia could use Palau as example if this protocol worked and if they were really desperate to bring diving tourism back to life.

This is really PATHETIC.
Palau sets no standard for anyone to follow!
There are so many different entry requirements in the world!!! Which is the best? There isn't one.

You ought to write to the respective minister in Indonesia rather then coming here!!!! LOL.

@marsh9077 May I know if you applied for a tourist visa before traveling to Indonesia? Or, they still provide visa on arrival?
Thanks!
