Diving the "other side" is totally dependent on weather. Normally, and probably in June especially, the East side of the island is the windward side, and thus very 'surfy' and not very good for diving.
Aldora keeps a boat over there during the winter, so that when a Norte blows in and that side of the island becomes calm, they will dive over there.
What are Tortugas and MUSA? I've heard of Galleons, but not those.
Hey Sue, when we stay on the Playa Del Carmen side I use the Abyss dive shop, it's been several years but they have always done a really good job. Tortugas is a fun dive, I have always seen LOTS of turtles there. Abyss Dive Center, Playa del Carmen
