Thread crapping
v. Thread crapping occurs when a person comes into a thread and posts something contrary to the spirit/intent of the thread, often derailing the discussion or turning it into an argument.

A ScubaBoard Staff Message...

Personal insults deleted. Here's a trick I use when I get angry and write a post: before I hit the post button, I grab a reg and check the IP while I count to ten. Helps clear the head.

Thanks Tort......I for one had become fed up of answering Apeks model questions.
.....the Verruca is coming across as a bit of a wankah.

Really? They clear the thread of insults and you start up again?

Why are you 'fed up' of answering Apeks questions? This is what this board is here for, to answer questions about diving. If you find it tedious, then leave the job to others.

I believe that generic lists do not help the diver. The Apeks site clearly describes all that is needed. If a person still comes forward with a question, then I'll gladly help them. I've worked in the industry for 6 years, and I still have to answer the age old question 'what mask is right for me?' It's not tedious. As an instructor I have an obligation to help those in the shop and on course to make the right equipment decisions. A photo-copied generic list will not help. Therefore you have to take the time to sit and talk with the person about, what type of diving they will do, how often they will use the equipment and so and so forth. You have to go above and beyond to help sort the wheat from the chaff when making equipment decisions. I have used Apeks near exclusively for 5 years. I've thousands of dives using Apeks equipment, maybe that gives me a better knowledge than some, maybe not. Regardless I still would talk to the person and answer their questions, even if I was asked that same question just a few moments before.
I made suggestion on how to improve this 'guide' and made my own observations based on actual dive experience and was told to go.. well we know. If you don't want to listen to my advice, you do not have to . But I make comments based on usage and with the customer in mind. Hence why I would never make comments about Equipment I don't use, such as Cressi, or Seac sub for example.
The fact the OP does not like what I post is his choice. What I post about Apeks is not conjecture or hearsay or dogma. I know because I use APEKS and I use it a lot. If that does not qualify to help with Apeks questions, then I am at a loss to know what does.
If anybody reading this thread would like advice regarding Apeks equipment I am happy to respond to PMs.

Nothing changes except the 2nd stage:

TX50 - DST
TX100- FST

You shouldn't have any difficulty in finding all the required informations from CG.
How about the adjusting screw on the 2nd stage? Replacing the plastic one fitted on the 20 and 40 with a self-adjusted metal one.

The TX-100 and FST uses a 1/2 hose. I am not sure if latter models still use the 1/2" hose. If you want to replace the adjusting screw then try this site.
SCUBA products A/X/TX40 to A/X/TX50 conversion Other people have tried converting Apeks regs but it becomes too expensive if using Apeks parts.

All current models no longer use the 1/2 port.

This part works really well, I fitted one last week. Highly recommended and if I need to purchase any more deco regs, I'll be buying 40's and getting another upgrade part from Graham (Halcyon-hk).

I just picked up some ATX40s cheaply as a spare set, was keen to buy the conversion but he only accepts paypal and as my card was issued in NZ and my billing address is Australia and IP and postal address are in Japan PayPal throws a wobbly. Ill have to figure out another way to get some. Ill mail him and see if he can offer an alternative.

You can also try this guy in the UK:
