No this isn't a Lewinsky post... shame on you for even thinking that! I filmed a small kelp bass biting off more blacksmith than it could swallow the other night in the Casino Point Dive Park. It was rather humorous to watch the small bass trying to get its "prey" down. It finally released the blacksmith which seemed rather shell-shocked (but that's being anthropomorphic).

What a meal!

WOW! That is really cool!

I've never witnessed a fish unable to complete the meal.

When you said you filmed this, do you have it on video, or just these really cool stills? If you have it on video, I'm sure others (like me) would love to see the whole struggle.

Makes me hungry!

I've seen many people like that at the buffet line.

Cool pix. Thanks for posting, Dr. Bill.

Had the same experience but I videoed it, a lizard fish(iguana--sand diver --whatever) eating a little snapper------poor quality @ that, forgot to swith it to white balance.....Could not hang around to see the outcome, was in Cozumel with a ripping current, when I finished this short shot, group was already out of site & I had to HA to find them...lol

I guess the bass forget his mom's lectures about bad manners, eh?

Yep, it's on HDV video (I only shoot video for educational purposes and extract stills for my web site, newspaper columns, etc.). When I get time I'll try to post it.
