I was contacted by a member of a comitte that is going to write a book on Westhill Pond. This really nice person as asked me to write a story on my diving experiences to be an addition to the book. So I wrote quite a bit for their cause as I have some fond memories of diving ar Westhill as my favorite fresh water dive.

The comittee has asked if I knew other divers that might also want to contribute and thus I am posting here to let all divers who have dove Westhill to send their stories to:

terriandgoz@prodigy.net

Provide details of the dive, what was it like under the lake, what was found etc.

They are also trying to locate the so called platforms that were built under water and get info about them. I am game to go and look for these platforms if anyone has an idea were they are.

I am also looking for someone to go with to either video or take pictures of the bottom of pond,
I may have access to a boat to escort us around the pond if I do find someone willing to take pictures. For as long as my drysuit seals are intact this offer goes into mid November.

Chris, let me know if you have a particular dive planned and need a buddy.

I'm not a West Hill Pond regular, but I've gone diving in there a couple times and had fun experiences.

In the middle of the deep part on the southern end, it's cold and dark. Couldn't see much and there really wasn't much to see, other than an oar sticking straight up out of the mucky bottom.

More toward the middle of the pond toward the beach on the eastern side, it's a bit shallower with lots of interesting rock formations to explore. I saw many little items in there, but nothing that really sticks out in my memory.

OK Mike

Ill see what I can plan in the near future

What is the status of this project? I live around the corner from West Hill pond and know the prospective authors well. I just wrote to them, in fact.

Maybe I can help out?
