I have never heard anything bad about the Aqualung Titan LX reg.

I'm sure they will have parts for them forever.

Auqualung makes good stuff. The titam should work fine.

As for AI computers - I don't have one but I can see the appeal. If it wasn't for price I would probably buy one. They can't be as un-reliable as some people make them out to be.

Good work horse reg. Isn't it basically a stripped down Legend?

what he said.

Titan is a basic, bombproof design that if cared for will last a LONG time.

as for a redundant SPG.... Why would you DOUBLE your potential points of failure in the name of redundancy? makes no sense.

Cobra3 question: put 200ish hours on an original cobra, never a hickup.

My wife and I both have Titan LX. As others have said, great reg, dependable, easy to obtain service. We both love them.

The only thing I don't like is how they pack. It's like trying to pack a tarantula with rigor. Hose routing makes it difficult to lay flat in a bag. Hose routing is great when diving, just a pain when packing. Miflex hoses may make it easier to pack (I haven't pulled that trigger yet), or you could just disassemble while traveling.
My 2 cents.

thanks guys for all the information! :) i think i found the deal im going to get balance airsource 3 knife cobra 3 titan lx for 1600 and the store gives you a free advanced course!!! (which is a 400 $ value )

LOL, Nemrods posts are always spot on,but even better they are full of subtle
undercurrents of experience. 1 port good-2ports bad. AI is great only if you
need every doodad. Keyshunter sums it up for those who need it spelt out.
In any case, I have a titan LX and can say it's a great reg.
Porbeagle :D

You guys speak of the Titan LX, what about the regular Titan, no LX or supreme. Since I just started working with no money, this might be the first reg I get. I think I can get it 50% off at a LDS. What are you inputs on getting a second one and using it as the octopus?

my personal opinion is getting the LX its better of course but its more expensive there is 3 things the titan LX has that the titan doesnt 1) heat exchanger 2) Automatic closure Device ACD(seals out water from the first stage inlet 3) pneumaically balanced for effortless inhalation

i got this information right out of the catalog that i got at a dive shop
