i am aware that the LX has more features than the non-LX but if i can spend $150 on a reg, 50% off the original price i think, then i'm going to get the titan and save up later for a nicer reg and keep this as a backup. i don't mind renting gear, but it adds up fast and i'm one of those who perfers to own gear.

UAEROFLY,
$150 for a new regular Titan is a great deal. I doubt that you will notice a difference in breathing between a regular Titan and an LX at recreational depths. The barrel first stage on the regular Titan is essentially the same as the Conshelf which has been around for at least 40 years. It is tried and true and is extremely reliable. The new LX (2009 model) has a first stage which is essentially the same as the Micron (plus ACD) which has been in service for only about 3 years. While I have heard nothing bad about the new LX, IMO it needs a little more time in service. By the way, the pre 2009 Titan LX had the same first stage as the current (and older) regular Titan, and is a great reg.

Dont worry i feel the same way lol i don't mind but money wise it will create a whole in the pocket especially since im on a budget

i mean personally what i think is why buy twice id rather just go ahead and get the better version now so i dont have to later.
