There are a some of us that hook up a AI computer to one HP and an analog SPG to the other port.

I don't see why I would need two pressure instruments. If I were in overhead then I would have two tanks and two regs and then I would have two spgs. The old belt and suspenders trick, OK, thanks.

You guys running two spgs? or something?

What the others said; AI computer and SPG, if the computer bites it I do not have to end dive. Though I just went back to a wrist mount, the AI was a moment of "I gotta have the toy".

Take the AI and put it in a shoebox and just use a B&G spg, problem solved.

Sell the AI to me for real cheap.......

My warm water reg has 2 HP ports..........

:D

My daughter now uses the AI, she is in the "oooh cool dive toy shiny"

Or prefer to mount the wireless transmitter on whichever side that matches the receiver/dive computer unit - wear dive comp on left arm, put unit on the left port, wear dive comp on right arm, put unit on the left arm.

Or dive with two SPG sets for redundancy...

The failure rate of spgs is not even close to that of AIs. Hence, an spg backup for an AI is a very good idea. Relatively inexperienced divers do like their toys. On the bright side, they can get on SB and defend their choice, which keeps the board moving along at a lively pace, and, of course, AI purchases (at least 10 times the cost of spgs) are good for the economy.
