For some reason no notifications for the above posts....thanks for input from you folks..

#1 I do level [36 " level] the frame of the compressor each time I use it....easy as it only weighs 100 lbs; shims carried....leveling trailer is also easy with leveling blocks I carry in truck...

#2 Dalton on my bucket list.....all the way up to the Artic Ocean...no, not a dive trip.

#3 Vancouver Island will be on my short list; dived it around 1987....with Orcas out of Hardy....China Creek Expeditions? No idea what that is, will research it.....quit using dry suits years ago after using a variety from UNI, & Viking to DUI and many in between...I dive solo so group trip requirements up there for dry suit are NA for me,.... shorter dives in 7mm hooded/FJ beaver tail custom wet suit....yes, I am old and stubborn! But it works for me...being stubborn and my dive modes..

#4 Blanket idea a good one and unconventional!

Do appreciate the suggestions...

The trailer is rated to 3,800 lbs....hence the manufacturer's recommended 100-300 lbs of tongue weight to stabilize the trailer . Even with HAWK FWC onboard my 05 Tundra AC SR-5 pulls the load easily....less load than trailer GVW is always better in my view....may only be 500-600 lbs on trailer when loaded out....still very much in planning phase...
When I towed a 7 tonne trailer with a truck (15 Tones) I still only had around 150lb on the tow hitch.

Running less than 10% tongue weight to gross weight can make for an unpleasant towing experience.

Understood and thanks....intend to scale the weight distribution to match 15% tongue weight to cover my bets....like recommended that will be between 100 and 300 lbs tongue weight....100 empty trailer and 300 at GVW.

Might add Tundra with beefy rear anti-sway bar, HD springs/shocks and air booster shocks....can level load with air into shocks...

Yikes! 15K pound trailer and 33K pound load [truck]! Honestly ignorant of the variables involved in assuring correct tongue weight when using different size/weight trailers, differing load weight, number and placement of axles....rule of thumb was I believe between 10-15% of trailer/load weight..beyond that I am clueless.

Curious, what was truck? A diesel dump truck? [light weight battle tank?..]

Those weights will have you taking a long discussion with the DOT man. The truck along would require a CDL to drive it. The trailer is over the top.

A Bedford MK, classed as a military 4 Tonner, but plated weight 16 Tonne and capable of towing a 16 Tonne trailer. That was before I moved up to an 8 legger Foden with full Dyson trailer. All up weight 35 Tonne and 65ft in length. Only tank transporters and some specialist engineering kit was bigger.

We’re talking about the vertical loading not what the hitch can pull.
Correct, hence my question of 3000 pounds. Ball hitches should carry 10-15% of the trailer weight.

That was my error in reading comprehension. I read it as hitch manufacturer, not trailer manufacturer.

I believe He is in Egypt....to paraphrase: "we don't need no stinkin' CDL"! But hey licensing could be even stricter there...their lighthouse was one of the "Seven Wonders Of The World"....would love to dive the Red Sea but that now is a pipedream...dived Med off Sicily and Sardinia....compared to Northcoast kelp forests in CA the med was azoic...crystal clear but not much to see.....not a lot of nutrients and oligotrophic....still beautiful water.....sorry drifted off topic a touch.....

[My all time dream dive would be off Ras Muhammad National Park in Egypt....just to dive with the pelagics...]
