Are you going to include smokers? Just kidding Kim.....
Considering about 80% of the divers that I've seen in Japan do smoke - I suppose we'd better!!!:D

(not that I think that all of the people on the list are smokers!!)

Haven't received a PM as of yet...

JAG
It should be there now.

A couple of people have PM'd me with some name suggestions. I would like to ask that all suggestions for names are POSTED as this is something for everyone to decide together - not just PM'd to me!!!
I haven't come up with much yet - maybe my best so far is:
Japanese Islands Divers or Islands of Japan divers.
I'm still thinking though.....

bethbsting suggested a possible mascot to be some fish or something that is unique to Japan. I don't know of any off the top of my head - maybe someone else does?

What's wrong with just "Japan"?

Japan Dives.......

Divers in Japan........

Wa no kuni.... (old name for Japan, it means 'The country of Wa')

Mascot: Fugu might be good - there's also a lot of Lionfish most places I've been.......

I was trying to think of some cool name today but I really think that something simple like "Japan Divers" would be best. I assume the point is to share info on diving in Japan and a simply name will probably be found more easily by new-comers.

I like the Fugu mascott Jag. Maybe this could be the banner:

:fro:

I'm all for the fugu as a mascot... ;) Dunno if they're unique to Japan, but I think they might be. They sure are funny little creatures! Saw a few on my training dives in Izu.
