Time for a vacation: Alor in September

We need a short dive vacation that is land-based on a remote island in Indonesia in mid-Septmeber. Alor is one of our favorite destinations. Our mid-september trip coincides with the new moon. I've only visited Alor in May and June, never in September. Can anyone shed light on September conditions? Thanks!

I can tell you that mid-October is beautiful. I don't know if we ever had a cloud on our trip then.
