Howdy. I just received my Canadian Extreme clone of the Scout, and the light head is so tight that I can barely turn it enough to get it on. It would be even harder to turn on clipped to my shoulder harness D-ring.

Waddya think about a little silicone grease in the threads? Any other suggestions?

Are the light heads normally this tight (i.e., do I need to toughen up a little to handle the manly knurled handle???)? Nice light otherwise. Thanks.

Definitely lubricate both o-rings with some silicone grease (usual advice - just a tiny amount). If there are still problems, I wouldn't hesitate to contact Darren directly.

I will return it to you in a couple of years well broken in.

Sorry.....had to do it.

A little silicone lube should solve your problem.
