And those 20 will tell 20 more and so on, and so on, and so on.
Yeah, or theill just go on scubaboard and tell a few thousand :p

And, I wonder if the boards are crawled by the search engines...people searching "Dixie Divers" in the future could find these posts and they would decide on the spot to NOT call and book with them.

I was always taught in the business that I used to be in, long before the days of the internet, that if a customer has a good business experience, that the business would be lucky if they told one other person. The reason for that is that any time you're paying someone else for something, you expect good service, good product, etc. It's not unexpected so it doesn't stand out.

On the other hand, if a customer has a bad experience, they will tell, on average, nine other people. Now that was a long time ago and I am sure that the presence of the internet has likely increased that number.

I worked in that business for nearly 20 years, for many managers and I can tell you from personal experience, what a difference a manager who's focused on customer satisfaction makes for sales! Mistakes can and do happen. How they're handled in the aftermath makes all the difference!;)

Boards are definetly crawled by the search engines, Ive "caught them red handed" on several occations. Also, if you search google, youll find plenty of hits thats from forums..

I think there might be an issue since there's a regional sub-group here called "deep dixie divers" here.

Oh boy, you have a point...you know that I'm a professional librarian, and I could go on for quite some time about how inept most people are at doing a decent internet search. Talk about confusion!!

In times past I've dived with Dixie Divers and had a great time. However, as far back as three years ago, I had divers telling me to stay away from Dixie Divers and the Lady Go Diver. The complaints I was hearing was about attitude, from the shop and boat. It appears those complaints were well founded. This used to be a nice shop and boat. I don't know what's happened, but it appears that things need to change, and fast. :palmtree: Bob

I think anyone who takes the time to read about either would figure out pretty quickly that one is a forum and the other is a disreputible LDS.

Yup! It won't be long before you Google Dixie Divers and this thread will come up. That's how I found ScubaBoard in the first place. I was Googling something and ended up here... :)
