There's no evidence Mike Nelson certified divers. At the time Sea Hunt was made, it was common for experienced divers to teach others to dive. They often had no affiliation with any agency, those that issued cards, issued their own home made cards. Few agencies existed.

So, what you are saying is that scuba training agencies and the drug culture rapidly grew together.:popcorn:
 
I am sure your looking for some answers! Being frustrated and all.

Needless to say! That you'll bump into these issues again. Eventually. Regardless of the organization. It's not the organization it's the code of conduct of the individual. Live and learn! Never stop from diving and have a negative perception. Enjoy the sport and next time choose carefully.

Judging an entire organization based on the actions of a few bad PADI divers is a bit ignorant. Sure you had some terrible experiences but using them to judge PADI as a whole, makes no sense.
