Gang,

Something I thought would be fun to do here. What are the top threads that have beaten the proverbial horse to death?

-Wearing your mask on your forehead.
-Sizing of pony tanks.
-DIR is our Savior
-Long hose on the Octopus
-Spare Air
-Air II or any other octo-inflator
-My LDS sucks
-Leisurepro
-Steel vs Aluminum
-Hose mount vs. wrist mount computers

Feel free to add your own. Don't take this too seriously. It's just a goof.

And, you say long hose on octo, but if you dive with a long hose, it's on your primary. Atleast for every long hose setup I've ever seen. And you donate that, so it is in some sense an "octo" but since you breathe off of it more of the time, it's really your primary. Better to drop the term octopus and refer to them as primary and backup.

Not necessarily ... I know several old-timers who use a 7-foot hose on their back-up reg, with the hose folded and stuffed into a band on their tank.

My first exposure to a long-hose was that type of setup on my OW instructor's rig.
