It looks like another live aboard has gone up in flames, three divers missing, not much news at the moment but here's hoping that there is a positive outcome

Not sure how accurate this page is, but it lists "electricity 24/7" and this page has "Plugs are located on dive deck, saloon and in cabins."

Latest reports on BBC are citing an electrical fire that started at 6:30 am during the morning dive briefing.

The BBC corresponds don't currently seem to understand what the boat is and have described it as a cruise, a snorkelling trip etc

Actually, the beeb reports the fire occurred at Elphinstone:

I would guess that this time of year there must have been other boats at the site. It's a busy spot in summer.

A big question is whether any of the passenger (or crew) cabins had an alternative exit path in case the main one was blocked by fire. If a large fire breaks out blocking access to your usual exit, what are your options, if any?

That's the main question I have in the aftermath of the Conception disaster that made the news a few years back.

From the page @Rearviewmirror linked for us -
  • Fire alarms / detectors throughout
  • Life jackets & fire extinguishers in each cabin & throughout
