I like the idea of getting rid of every possible point of failure that isn't absolutely necessary.

Yeah, but without the diver it's just not fun! :D

But really, the obsession with "failure points" that rarely, if ever fail is humorous. Especially when being evaluated in an open water environment.

did have one start leaking from pulling on the hose,in fact its still leaking, just not as bad, little glue job.

Wondering, where did the leak develop?
Valve itself or where the assembly mates to the wing?

After finishing poolwork today, I have found some things I like and dislike about BC's

I dont like the seperate cord to deflate a BC (is this just Cresi?)

I like quick release weights (and weight intigrated)

I like jacket style

I like around $300

I like good companies who make good products.. :D

Any suggestions?

thanks!

Here ya go:

WEIGHT INTEGRATED BC

check out the seaquest latitude or passport. They are in your price range and very nice bcd's with the bells and wristles you are looking for. If you need help finding one please email me. I work at a dive shop. Clay

What would you do in this situation?

Your 100ft deep and you give your BC a bit of air but the air inflate sticks and keeps inflating your BC!

Outside of opening your dumps, what else would you do, start swimming up while holding the dump while all of your air goes into your PBC and out the dump or try and figure out the problem 100ft down?

Not sure why but this situation always flashes through my head.

Undo the LP hose going to your inflator. Surely you did this in your OW class.

We did it but not in this exact situation. I figured the best thing to do would be to just dump in 2 locations and start swimming to the top but if I was already low on air I would'nt have time for a safety stop or anything so that makes sense.

Thanks! Thats why im here! To learn ;)
