Here are photos after a dozen-or-more dives, including close-ups of the hinge-hardware. You never know if something that is "stainless steel" might have stainless-steel blades, but some other components are regular steel.

In case folks are still figuring out shears options, I just pulled the trigger on these shears from XSHEAR and a pouch for them from the slightly hilarious brand "Excellent Elite Spanker". The shears fit perfectly and there are lots of mounting options with the threaded pop connection. It allowed me to mount the shears neatly on my right BCD pouch (can grab with my left hand, or right in a pinch) or use the trilobyte tool from my chest strap. About to spend a month diving in Hawaii so will see how they hold up.

Did ewe look at the lifeline tactical knife?
They’ve got the jawz which will cut glass in case you ever find yourself in that shituation…
The scuba pro version is 50 bucks more so go dieefctly to their site.
I believe the Scubapro version has their own custom sheath vs that one

Maybe it works better with their BCDs or something. That IDK but it’s way too expensive for a dive knife for me either way

I believe the ghostfishing divers all carry these:

Great looking tool but I'm scratching my head, just something about the name that doesn't do it for me

I was contemplating if I needed to put this on a bc, got it from a diving warehouse, on special
There is so much extra room for the kitchen sink and stuff on BCs that you don't get on plates

I cut through a ss teaspoon with it, no not because I was stuck under a teaspoon at 50 fathoms

Couldn’t tell you.
I use an aqua lung titanium on my personal setup and public safety setup.
It’s in the same spot on both.
