You absolutely would not be the first diver without AOW to touch the sand at the wreck. In part because the water is usually so clear ‘newer’ divers and ‘new to warm water’ divers don’t always realize how deep they are.
Ah, interesting!! They don't obsessively check their dive watches for depth and their air gauges like I do? LOL!
 
No apparently we are the exception. 😀

Our DM did say "it's deep so watch your gas" as I recall; having a DM with a clue and listening to the dive briefing is presumably the exception too.

At the last occurrence The DM did warn the OW divers to watch their depth, did get the attention of the errant diver and send him up. They also discussed it topside. The diver was very apologetic and more careful on subsequent dives.

EAN 32 has MOD of 112. It’s possible on that dive to go deeper. I was at 103 for a bit and watching my depth
