Check out Bottom Time Scuba in west bay beach. Their boat is intentionally small (never had more than 6 divers) and Jay is incredible! No physical dive shop on the beach and this keeps the prices lower. Dove with them on 3 trips and coming back in February.

My favorite dive shop in the West End area of Roatan is at Seagrape Plantation Resort. You can check them out online. It’s a family run place and they have been my go to spot for over ten years now. They treat me like family and take good care of their guests. You don’t have to stay there to dive with them, but I usually stay at their hotel or cabanas. I’m an older guy, so I appreciate the ability to step off the dock into the dive boat at Seagrape. I’ve climbed in to some of the smaller boats with other dive ops before and it wasn’t that easy. I’m guessing the average size group of divers I’ve been with on Seagrape’s boats are 6 to 8, but of course it can vary. If too many sign up for one boat on a particular dive, they divide the divers into two groups and take two boats out so as not to be too crowded on any one boat. I have not been to Utila, so I can’t help with that destination. Hope you have a great time in Roatan wherever you go.
