Just found this little, "Bromo Seltzer" bottle a couple of days ago. It appears to be the 10 cent trial size and it dates from between 1890 and 1930.

Went out to the river this weekend and I found my new favorite anchor. Someone must have lost it recently because it looked brand new, not a hint of rust on it. And it came complete with a coated metal chain and floatline rope, perfect setup for my kayak.

Also found this container underwater with 3 beer and a soda can inside. Label said they were only a month old so I took the beer home to drink :D

That bottle has a really nice blue color. I've seen a lot of bottles that are old and look like trash, but that's a real treasure. How much do you think that bottle is worth?

Found this at the bottom of a river a couple weeks ago. It's a home made squirt gun that actually works. Played with it a bit on the river and brought it back home with me. It has an o-ring on it that lets it suck up the water and shoot it back out from a hole in the front tube. Shoots over 15 feet.

Thought it was a unique find.

A friend went treasure hunting with me last weekend. Here's our haul. I think it's around 200 lures.

Besides lures we found an anchor, a fishing reel, 3 fish stringers, a knife, a spoon, a pencil, and 2 working fishing rod/reels that I left at the vacation home.

My favorite lure is the double hooked crawfish lure at the bottom right from the second picture. Probably because it looks more like a scifi toy than an actual lure.

Went out to a local beach yesterday to pick up some lead sinkers in the late afternoon. Got around 40lbs worth of junk before the sun started to set. I think my desire to search for underwater treasures has gone beyond my desire for fishing.
