Mine just came in late this afternoon, now to settle down and read it thoroughly. Thanks for being detail oriented. If I wasn't interested in reading about the true history, I'd read the folding pamphlet version they had on the hotel counter...;)

My visiting brother saw my copy on the table, opened it at random, and the first words he read were "indian vomit spatula". I think he's going to order his own copy.

I really enjoyed this book. It's clear that a monumental amount of time went into researching the details and connections. Great read!

Ordered. Will now have to find time to read it.

When I ordered the color version yesterday, Amazon said only three left (now 2) from them.

I'm sure they will print as many copies of the book as they need to fill all orders. Thanks for the purchase!

I ran across this photo of Caleta. It was published in 1915, but I think it was taken around 1910 or 1911. Lots of changes since then!

I am really enjoying your book, and it's especially fun reading it while I am here on the Island for a couple weeks :) Think I'll have to drop by the Museo next week...
Thanks for sharing your research and knowledge!

The Kindle eBook version of The True History of Cozumel is now available on Amazon.com

A Spanish translation in paperback will be the next one to be published.

Thanks for all the kind words from those of you who have purchased and read the book. If you liked it, please put a short review on the Amazon page. A sentence or two is all that is needed.

If you have any questions after you read the book, I'd be happy to try to answer them.

In the meantime, here is an old photo I found of one of Cozumel's two turtle and lobster packing plants. This image was taken at its inauguration. Can anyone guess where it was located? (Hint: it is now a restaurant!)

I'm going to guess Palmeras. Close to the pier to offload the daily catch... I have the book just no time to read it. I'll read it eventually.
