Take the Padi Tec 40. It will give you 40m max depth, max 50% 02 deco gas, and MAX 10 min of deco time.

We were completing our last deco obligation when out of the blue a Whale shark came over to us. Made our day.Kerstin and I find plenty to amuse us on the deco / safety stops.
Plenty of things float by to photograph out in the blue

Never let anyone hinder your progress, there is a lot of free information on decompression theory, techniques, gear configuration, gases, etc., online.Thank you
I'll certainly reach out to you.
Ive had this discussion with three deep dive guys.
One was a gentleman. And I would not hesitate to learn from him.
The other held a very vocal grudge against me for not doing my solo certificate with him - we'd only met once and when he found out I didn't do it with him he began to give me a lecture on how he doesn't take on half-baked divers. Which is when I cut it short.
Talk about small mindedness & petty grudges...
The third appeared to have no interest in teaching?
Sorry not to rant but just expressing what's, somewhat, hindered my progress.
Good instructors have the virtue of patience with results. I call this type of diver a challenge. Not worth my time. You feel entitled to information without working for it. You are on your own.
Play with MultiDeco. It has all the answers you need.
40 metre dive is recreational. Use 28% Nitrox for a little more NDL, then switch to 40%; some recreational computers can do 2 gases. Too many training schedules overlap.Take the Padi Tec 40. It will give you 40m max depth, max 50% 02 deco gas, and MAX 10 min of deco time.

Not if you go into deco, thus the PADI Tec 40 class. It is a little beyond the TDI Advanced Nitrox class, which is also restricted to 40m, but Tec 40 allows up to 10 mins of deco.40 metre dive is recreational.
The point I was making is to work up to a decompression dive by utilizing what he already has, equipment wise. And you can still occur deco obligations at 40m. What’s the point you are making?
This gives the OP a qualification with less than 15 min deco.
But that’s not what the OP was asking at all.The point I was making is to work up to a decompression dive by utilizing what he already has, equipment wise.
I would have to read my TecRec manual again. Nitrox/Advanced Nitrox should be covered under one c-card. Most recreational divers who want to dive deep, have done so, hence, which course do they take next. I know divers divers who have done the PADI tec trilogy, only to be limited to 55 metres. Not if you go into deco, thus the PADI Tec 40 class. It is a little beyond the TDI Advanced Nitrox class, which is also restricted to 40m, but Tec 40 allows up to 10 mins of deco.
