for just that....travelling.

I have also used an aluminum bp/wing setup for travel.

I am curious about the travel bp that is being offered by Oxycheq that is being made by Koplin.

That one looks like a dog bone, but should do the job.

Good Luck!

This is what Diver magazine had to say about the Transpac 2/Travel Wing which I dive and love:

The Buddy:

I think this is a cool BC, but not easily available over here.

I can't tell from the picture if the Scubapro is the same as the US Nighthawk or something different. Ask anyone who has run a rental operation with different brands and they will tell you Scubapro outlasts everything else. But, it is what is when you get it, not modular.

My only comment on Custom Divers is that 60# of lift is excessive. This means the rig will not be that streamlined, and might have tank wrap with a single tank.

What did you have for breakfast Met? Mean flakes? Just trying to do him a favor? My way or the highway?
Note the smiley.

And I did answer his question.

Have a nice day.

Metridium: I did invite alternatives, though I think I may know what you would suggest :-)
:D

As for that unspoken alternative ;), setting up and diving it is much easier than it first appears. I did so myself, having never seen one before, and without an owner's manual. Now the manual is available online, and they've become much more widespread than when I first bought one almost six years ago.

Not to mention that a place like this is wonderful for answering whatever questions you might have, and for finding like-minded dive buddies who could help you break it in.

Good luck on whatever you choose!

I agree with O-ring, if it has to be one of those 6 get the TPII.

I also Agree that a BP/wing is much easier to set up than you might think. All the info you need can be found by searching the boards.

I have both, the 1st year I dived a TPII, after buying my BP I thought I would have 2 complete rigs to dive.

Looking through my log book for the last year I see that I've only been diving the BP. I even took it to the Bahamas.

I set it up myself, it was quite easy.

Met,

I must be old fashioned, but I take written words at their face value. You might also notice that I don't pulll messages apart line by line. That can lead to taking things out of context.

Have a nice weekend, get wet. (3 weeks to Coco View for me)

Just don't forget the face value of the smileys! :)

Have fun!

O-ring is right, you should at least checkout the BP. If you can find someone nearby that can let you try one out and can show you how to set it up (very easy), then by all means give it a shot. The BP is highly recommended for good reason.
