Today was a busy day on the van... heading out in the morning, doncha know?

Custom Work table matt. 1/4" ribbed, cut to 65 5/8" X 36". Heat will cause to lay flat in a day or two.

Charging center, Custom power center with automatic AC/DC relay switch, Inverter and house batter charger.
Oh yeah, that's a dehumidifier and house battery on the floor.
The house battery is charged by the house battery when the engine is running and by AC power when the van is plugged in. Plugging in the van automatically isolates the house battery from the inverter, takeing over on the power center and switching the external house battery charger to on.

Both tool boxes and wire shelf. Each metal basket is clipped onto the metal shelf so they don't fly off.

The Dive Station. Tank rack can easily hold 8 tanks horizontally and 8 more vertically. The rebreather takes up 2 to 3 slots. Three baskets on either door hold reels, accessories, clippy things and most importantly: Toilet paper and a couple little shovels. ​

If you just want a little fridge (no freezer) and not an Engel which looks much more transportable - Home Depot sells a small one for $150. It doesn't have a compressor so it's quiet at night.

Thermoelectric cooling - Wikipedia

They DO work, but they cannot move heat very quickly. I have a similar cooler, it will achieve a temperature drop compared to ambient air, so if the ambient air temperature is very high the interior temperature will be cool, but not cold.
The modules are cheap enough to experiment with.

They DO work,

This one uses R134a to amplify the effect.

I was driving up to Ginnie Springs on the Turnpike. I was doing my usual 7 miles over the speed limit, when I see a cruiser going the other way, change lanes, and make a u-turn. Nah... he can't be after me. Of course, I slowed down to the exact speed limit and in a few moments, he's right behind me and he flashed his lights on for a moment. I pull over, find my accouterments (license, registration & insurance) and roll down the window. As he approaches with this huge smile, I hear "She looks great, Pete! Open her up so I can see the inside!" I'm sure that the motorists passing us thought it was a drug bust with all the doors open. I promised I wouldn't divulge who it was or what LEO organization he was with since what he did was against their rules. It was still kind of funny.
