I'm a Fish!
Hello all I am heading up to Table Rock Lake in a few weeks and do a little diving and the big one on my list is the "General" can anyone that has been their this year tell me what to look for as far as markers on shore or water that might help me land on it the first time without having to look very hard?

If all goes well I plan on an update of the wreck and conditions with a new video and photos Thanks!

Avon, How well do you know Table rock? If you know where Jake's island & Jake's Point are The General/Zeb is north of the island. If you where to head north/north east past the island there is a cove to your left with some boat docks & a resort on the NW side if you go past that cove like you are heading to Rock Lane resort It is in the next cove on the NW side. It used to be an easy find as there has always been a white boat bumper tied to a stump in 15 ft of water you could easily see floating in the lake. I was out to dive her a few weeks back & someone had removed the boat bumper from the stump so it was not nearly as easy to locate.
I was lucky I have been there enough times that I was able to find the stump even with the bumper having been removed. There are some boat docks you can see from where we always tie up, but I can't remember which resort these docks are too? I will be heading back down that way this coming weekend & I will drive down the road & check out what the road & resort name are that lead to those docks where you could see the boat bumper. Who knows someone may have replaced it by now, not sure?
I also have a map at home I will see if I can't get a good picture of it & post it on here?
Of course the best option is I could tag along with you & show you exactly where it is depending on when you will be down here?

Damn I was counting on the bumper being their I have pulled up somewhat of a map and been making notes as to the location of the site, I even have a Google earth map and it has a boat over the site! The only day I can hit her is this Friday and I was going to spend all day on site. And I would love it if you could make it Dweller I'd like to meet and dive with and pick your brain about the General! And any help would help so I'm looking forward to your map thanks.

Well I was busy last night & didn't get a chance to look for that map.
I also can't make it on Friday as I took off one day last week to go diving.
I did ask on the State Park Marina facebook page if anyone knew if the bumper had been replaced & was told that there is a tree on the shoreline that has been painted with some orange paint to mark the spot. I guess the stump with the line running to the wreck would be straight out from the tree.
There are 2 tree stumps close together that will be sticking just out of the water or just barely under the surface, the stump to the south is the one you drop down about 15 ft & will find the line headed out to the wreck. Just be sure & watch so you don't hit either of the stumps with your prop.

Here is a link to their facebook group page.

Thank you for the info and to bad you can't make it.

This is an easy spot to find with a white boat bumper and an orange bouy ball marking the stump and then down to the line that leads to the wreck. Cold and Black was the water with low viz I think mostly due to rain and the lake turning over. The wreck it self is a site to see and BIG to say the least! I had a rough time as I used a buddy's boat that was way to small "SORRY Frank & Mary" we tied up to shore and just did a short easy swim out to the line stump down in very harsh wind. The thurmo was not their at all I felt some change around 70ft.
I had a good dive but I should have given it one more week to really get all of the junk out of my head from my cold the week before...Maby I would have taken the right set of tank's...

The best part was meeting new diver's Thanks Dweller And I'll be back.......!
