When people find out that I dive, the first thing out of their mouths is usually, "Aren't you afraid of sharks??"

Do you get this reaction when you tell people about your hobby?

Sometimes but the real problem is the sharks are afraid of me, so it's tough to get good close up shots.

"Isn't all that equipment heavy?" "Did you learn because your husband dives?"

"Where do you do that around here?" is what they ask me but then I live in Ohio :D
Ber :lilbunny:

I get that sometimes here too even though Austin supposedly has one of the clearest lakes in the state.

But I'm not as puzzled by that question as I am by the shark one.

I get that one a lot and and this one, "I'd love to go just not where the sharks are". :hmmm: Lets ring them up and see if they are all at the pub first.
