FDOT meeting set for Thursday night on Little Blue Heron Bridge bridge work

RIVIERA BEACH — The Florida Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting Thursday night to discuss upcoming work on the Little Blue Heron Bridge.

Work to replace the bridge just east of Phil Foster Park is scheduled to begin in early December and take 18 months. One lane will remain open for eastbound and westbound traffic during construction.

Thursday's public meeting will be from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Hilton Singer Island Oceanfront Resort, 3700 N. Ocean Drive. For more information, call Tish Burgher at (561) 641-6440.

Hi everyone - we are thinking about diving the bridge on Saturday and/or Sunday. Are any of the seahorse experts going to be there?!?

We are planning on going tomorrow--what are the conditions? Viz??

Thanks;)
The conditions can change from day to day, so unless someone dove the day before, it's hard to give an est. of what will be that day.

Dang, I couldn't make it. It would be nice to show them some pictures of the rare species found under the bridge

Perhaps Saturday, perhaps Sunday... maybe both. But, I won't be looking for seahorses...

My +5 and +10 diopters showed up today ;)

Here's a test shot... Standard kitchen lighting, formica counter top, standard size shark tooth, no additional magnification. I just laid the camera down to in-focus and shot the picture (resized it for portrait rather than landscape)

Yes, the lens is made for water refraction, so I didn't expect this to be perfect... just viewable (I am surprised by the counter top design...)

jim, trig, bill---by all means--if you head out Sat. , come find us. I think my and Jim's (CoolTech) profile pics are pretty good representations of us. We should be there Saturday at least 1 hour before high tide.......come find us and hang out!!!

If we don't catch up, hope you all have a good dive weekend, and see some good stuff to report back to us!!!!

you look like a sleeping lizard??

(sorry, couldn't resist) :rofl3:
