Woke up a little under the weather, so I didn't go this morning.

Donna and I met up with Krista and Jim yesterday. We met some other nice folks too, but I am terrible with names. Donna and I dived for about an hour. When we went in the water, the bait fish were everywhere. About 3/4 through the dive as we were coming back out from under the East span, a Caribbean Reef Shark about 4 ft long came shooting around Donna, right by me and took off to the South. Very cool. I got a couple of nice pics, but I was having trouble with the settings of my camera. I need to get another set of stick on bifocal lenses. I found a dead baby sea turtle right at the end of the dive. Sad, but I did not take any pictures of it.

I had loads of fun settling down and watching a yellow-headed jawfish for a good 10 minutes.....didn't know they clean out their holes by getting mouthfulls of sand and spitting them out....thought that was how he was telling me to "go away" for a little while! Then, shoring it back up by picking up little shells and stuff in it's mouth and throwing them back towards the hole....I was giggling, laying in the sand!

Good weekend for the bridge, and so glad to have a last chance before construction starts.

it might have been a key worm eel.
here is one we found in St. Vincent
they can be from pinkish, to yellow, to orange.
maybe this is it?

Yep, that's him. When compared to the sharptail eel, he was a lot thinner around, and a lot faster moving. Good diving with ya Krista, look forward to doing it again.


Also saw some garden eels. Sweet treat that was! Thanks Krista for pointing them out!
