I just got a report that people were lobstering under the bridge this morning, they were "tearing things up" trying to get them too. FWC is being alerted.

West span. FWC arrived in a timely fashion, they weren't interested in enforcing the county's no-take rule but wanted to check for fishing license and check lobster sizes. Don't know the outcome but there weren't any legal sized lobsters there, and that the offending divers were acting suspicious.

How did they not enforce the no take rule?

It is a county rule, not a state rule. FWC doesn't enforce the county rules.

Hope they got nabbed for something.

Anyway, we did a nice dive on the East span this morning. Current was strong so the first hour was a work out.

Photo wise it was a very productive day. The froggies had moved, so we didn't see them. I got a report from some of the other divers they they are still there just repositioned.

Anyway, here are some shots from the day.

Saw these two mantis shrimp early in the dive.

Hi Scott;

It's an Axiopsis serratifrons, the "serrated axiid". It's pantropical but uncommon in the tropical West Atlantic. So far it's been reported only from Bermuda, Florida, and Belize. Good find.
