You should be very proud of your Zip Loc pictures. Who knows where you will end up. David Doubilet started out with an old Brownie camera in a home made rubber bag off the Jersey shore.

Well, inspired by all you photographers and for the pure joy of fish watching, I headed to BHB this past Thursday morning. Since I don't own any fancy underwater photography equip. I armed myself with my "land" point-and-shoot Samsung S730 in the glorified zip-lock bag that is the DiCaPac waterproof pouch. (I was hoping none of the serious photographers saw me using this, but dang it I wanted to take some pictures.) After a little necessary color balancing and contrast tweaking at the post production end, some of the pics didn't turn out half bad. Here are some of them:

And finally the one that made my day (thank you Anne from REEF for pointing me in the right direction.) The Striated Frogfish

OK one more, color not great but was happy to stumble on to this underwater barber shop: "A little off the top?"

That's very close to the zip-bag concept.

The bag is very cost effective for shallow dives. Anyone who can adjust their white balance can become proficient on shallow dives with them. I looked at one time thinking about taking the DSLR to BHB... Then I thought... expensive camera, and cheap bag... hmmmm

livi, Sully, Sport... nice pics ;)

Oh, did everyone see... I hate oceanbound! :rofl3: (damn toadfish finder!)
