I got one today off LBTS... not nearly as clean as yours. I have three new spots today, but they were all at LBTS, so I won't post them here.

Nice shots, Scott ;)

You know it's on like Donkey Kong when I get the +10 diopter :rofl3:

Jim, you are already shooting great stuff. Can't wait to see what you do with the SubSee.

Well, inspired by all you photographers and for the pure joy of fish watching, I headed to BHB this past Thursday morning. Since I don't own any fancy underwater photography equip. I armed myself with my "land" point-and-shoot Samsung S730 in the glorified zip-lock bag that is the DiCaPac waterproof pouch. (I was hoping none of the serious photographers saw me using this, but dang it I wanted to take some pictures.) After a little necessary color balancing and contrast tweaking at the post production end, some of the pics didn't turn out half bad. Here are some of them:

And finally the one that made my day (thank you Anne from REEF for pointing me in the right direction.) The Striated Frogfish

OK one more, color not great but was happy to stumble on to this underwater barber shop: "A little off the top?"

Fisheyeview.....love, love, love the Mantis Shrimp pic!

livi120......very curious....what does "terminal phase" Stoplight Parrotfish mean??

And FWIW...I really enjoyed your "zip lock" pics!! Especially the Red Tipped Fire Worm

Thank you all, and thanks to everyone else that posts their critters on here. I love looking through this thread.

TO: tiggrr... in response to: "very curious....what does "terminal phase" Stoplight Parrotfish mean??"

Parrotfish go through different phases as they mature from juvenile, to intermediate, to terminal and they look very different at each stage. The one in the pic happens to be in that last phase (which i believe is only reached by sexually matured males). I was just being all specific in my "animal nerd" way... HAhahaha.

livi120 ....I thought it might be something like that but, wanted to hear it. :) Cool stuff. Now I have to get my book out and see the different phases.

If you can't let your "animal nerd" shine here on SB? Where can you let it shine?? :rofl3:

I'm very impressed with the Zip lock Camera System, those are really nice shots. It's also the most affordable housing, disposable and reusable! A box for $3.79!!
